Support for Globus Nexus authentication discontinued
July 28, 2017 | Rachana Ananthakrishnan
In December 2016, we announced the deprecation of OAuth 2.0 service provided by Globus Nexus (also known as GOAuth), and since then we have worked with several user groups to transition to Globus Auth for authentication. We will be discontinuing the Nexus OAuth 2.0 service on August 7, 2017 -- use of Nexus OAuth will not be supported after that date.
Globus Auth was added to the Globus platform early last year, including support for the OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols along with richer and more fine-grained identity and access management. If your application uses Globus Nexus authentication, you will need to transition to Globus Auth. Details on using the Globus Auth API can be found here.
If you have any questions or need help moving to Globus Auth, please contact support@globus.org or post to our developer mailing list.
